The story of Litfy....
Litfy was born out of our love of reading. No matter what we prefer to read, be it the classics, romance, crime, or literary fiction, reading brings us joy and food for thought. Reading enhances our world and deepens our understanding of ourselves, others and the world around us. Reading feeds the imagination, reading feeds the mind, reading is fun - what could possibly be better?

Well, that would be free books...which is exactly what Litfy is all about!

With Litfy we simply want to make reading available to each and everyone; we want it to be easy and affordable to attain new books to read. And by affordable we mean free! One might go as far as to say that Litfy democratizes reading!

We have gone to great lengths to make Litfy fun and easy to use. We have excluded all the fluff and unnecessary features that make navigating a site difficult. Signing up is easy, understanding our terms and conditions is easy and most importantly, getting started reading is as simple as a couple of clicks with the mouse.

We know that many of our members are students, well in fact most of you. That's why we have added features that make reading and studying the classics easier: we have highlighting pens so you can always highlight those clever remarks. We have a note taking feature - so you can take smart notes in the margin of any book and save them for later. Of course we have all the sharing options: Facebook Twitter, google+, email..... Read, share your thoughts with friends, classmates, professors even. And of course we have the perfect place for you to discuss what you read: Check out the Litfy forum. There is a thread for everything, and if you still can't find one that suits you - start your own!

Do you want to help make Litfy even better and have a good time and maybe learn something in the process? Submit author bios and help share information. If nothing else, it is a great study tool. Simply write author bios for the authors you are studying! If you come across a book with an empty author profile, write a bio and send it to us. We will of course credit the bio author!

We hope you will enjoy Litfy as much as we do. We would love your feedback, please join the discussions in the forum and let us know your thoughts. Is there something we can improve, please tell us about it. Are we doing a great job already - nothing would make us happier than a pat on the back. Do you have a favorite book, or maybe even a whole list of great reads - share your thoughts with other Litfy readers: write a list or rate the books you read or start a discussion in the forum.
